Couple Talking: Photo Credit http://www.scienceofrelationships.com

Too many times I can tell when a conversation takes a wrong turn. In a relationship usually when there are issues one person is being brutally honest or not honest enough. When one is being too honest it can leave the other party feeling undervalued, no respect, or even less of a person. When one isn’t being honest enough it can leave the other party feeling as if all is great while continuing to do the same things you have a problem with. Continue reading

The Henderson Boys

I’ve taken the time to introduce myself, my marriage and my hair lol, now I would like to talk a little about my handsome boys Ryan Jr and Cameron! Often referred to RJ and Mosee. I know what you’re thinking Mosee from Cameron… how did that happen? Well the nickname Mosee was given to Cameron from his paw paw. When Cameron was younger and able to sit up he bounced a lot so his paw paw would call him “My Cam-moskee” eventually we all started calling him Mosee.

My so called “Good Hair”

IMG_3508 copy

I’m sure my husband can attest to the the countless times he’s seen my hair looking a hot azz mess! And I’m positive that my amazing mother can tell you countless complaints she’s had and still has about it lol. With tangles, dryness, and struggling with ways to maintain my hair it AIN’T easy. The point I’m trying to make is I may have what looks to be “Good Hair” but what most people don’t know is what it takes to get and maintain this so called “Good Hair”. Continue reading

Babe, I Burnt the Corn!

Sooooo I need to find a balance on writing this blog because I clearly just burned my husband’s lunch LOL. He simply asked me to heat up his food and because I was so lost in the blogging world; I burned the corn SMDH. It quickly got me thinking about how its very easy to get caught up in what you’re doing when you should be paying attention to more important things. Whether you are devoted to your work, obsessed with social media, a “shopaholic”, wild about “Pinterest” (Raises hand), fanatical about gaming/sports (like golf) or hooked on Entertainment (TV/Streaming), whatever your so called addiction may be, we have to learn self discipline in order to achieve a balance with our passions. The Henderson’s – “Ordinary People”

Since my 1st post on introducing myself and my blog I’ve been brainstorming on what to post next! Often when tidying up my home I listen to my NEO Soul station on Pandora (Note: I said tidying not cleaning lol). My husband came home for lunch and then John Legend “Ordinary People” came on. I smiled and said thats it! I should talk about our marriage first!

Introducing wifemomddh

Hi world! My name is Devin! I’m here to introduce my very own blog that’s all about how I try to keep it together! I’m a wife to an amazing husband, a mom of 2 handsome boys and an annoying yet loving dog (Butch); I work full-time (a non traditional work shift… We’ll have to talk about that later), and a life full of family and friends, whew! I’m planning to share a little piece of my journey through life, as wifemomddh.

I’ve shared that I’m a wife and mommy but I’m still someone who wants to maintain her individuality, hence the initials in my blogs title -DDH. Continue reading
